SALONA 45 – PURO SANGUE
This is the first project for a young, new company, created by the owners of a large producer of car components. The industrial culture of the parent
company dictated a serious market research and high quality of design, engineering and tooling.
This was possible using modern development techniques, such as CAD, CAM, CFD, CNC machined plugs and accurate 3-D drawings of all components.
The Salona 45 is a stiff boat in terms of form stability, low VCG and stiff structure, using laminated-over and glassed-in generous plywood structures and 2/$" marine-grade bulkheads.
Hull shape has a high initial stability and carries a high percent of ballast in keel, consisting of a cast iron blade and lead bulb, totaling in 3,65 tons.
It’s sloop rigging has dimensions to allow good cruising speeds, even at wind speeds well under 10 knots. Deck has modern appearance, low coach roof and large cockpit with twin or single steering wheel arrangements.
Warm colors and friendly atmosphere are created by reflecting light from soft upholstery, the ceiling finish and 50% gloss cherry varnish of joinery.
